The October 2010 Online Edition of Whole Foods Magazine, a leading trade publication for the natural foods industry, brings an informative editorial called “It’s a Women’s World” where EaseFemin and our ingredient, the Brazilian Red Bee Propolis are mentioned several times.

I have shared with you before our commitment at NaturaNectar™ to do things at the right time with no short cuts and with the highest quality standards. Our work continues to be noticed by many organizations. Even as I write there are several important conversations going on between us and some industry leaders.

Today I am glad to share that Emerson Ecologiocs, the largest distributor of Natural Products to Health Care Practitioners, has started to offer EaseFemin™ Menopausal Support to patients as well as their 20,000+ health practitioners.

NaturaNectar™: Debut at Expo West 2010

NaturaNectar™'s First Natural Products Expo West

If you are not from the Natural Products Industry, the name Expo West may not ring any bells for you.  So allow me to share with you how thrilled we were to exhibit for the first time in this show.

Natural Products Expo West is the largest industry trade show in the world.  It happens every March in Anaheim, CA and about 5,000 exhibitors have the opportunity to meet over 55,000 industry people attending the show.  It’s a phenomenal opportunity to network and create solid business relationships. We took full advantage of our time there by meeting face to face with hundreds of potential clients. We visited with some of them making a solid impression with our brands.

This has been our second show and the acceptance of EaseFemin™ by key industry players has been incredible.  I am so excited with our progress there and the level of energy that all the people in our company are displaying as we spread the word about the good stuff we are making to improve people’s lives.

There are many important developments that I am looking forward to sharing with you in the weeks and months to come.

NaturaNectar™: SOHO Expo: Spreading the Good News

We have just arrived back from the SOHO Expo in Orlando, FL.  This was the first natural products trade show for NaturaNectar™ and our product EaseFemin™.  Our team is very encouraged by the warm reception we had from retailers and other industry players.

The curiosity around our IsoFactor™ extract from Brazilian Red Bee Propolis was great and shows the potential of our innovative ingredient.  People were also intrigued by the many testimonials we have received from customers in such a short time.

Another highlight was the our company’s commitment with Corporate Social Responsibility. People were excited to see that we will be developing projects to help our neighbors in need and also protect our threatened bees.

Four days of intense preparation and execution.  The results of the show coupled with a great PR effort started just before it are bearing great fruit.

You and Me: A Special Opportunity in Fort Lauderdale

For almost three years I have been serving as a Board Member of the Community Hope Center of Fort Lauderdale, FL, an outreach 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization that provides holistic services to empower members of the local community to live more productive and fulfilling lives.

The organization does a superb job in various social areas such as Education, Counseling, Referral, Information and Tangible services. These programs include mentoring, tutoring, counseling and support for pregnant women and incarcerated, homeless and other struggling families.

As you can imagine, this year, more than ever, there has been an increased demand for these services.

There will be a great upcoming opportunity for new potential Patrons to get to know the institution better and – through a Partnership with the award winning 26th Annual Fort Lauderdale Christmas Pageant – be able to watch a live performance of this traditional Christmas Musical.

NaturaNectar™: A Meaningful Feedback

It has been about two weeks since I wrote about the building of NaturaNectar™‘s vision and mission. We have chosen to dedicate time at the beginning of our company to do that and it has helped us so far.

I am a bit surprised that I would find myself blogging about it again in such a short time but you will understand why.

Last week we were pleased because more and more clients are giving us feedback on how EaseFemin™ is helping them to cope with a difficult phase of their lives: menopause.  There was one in particular which gave us the sense that people do pay close attention to the essence of our company. To the motives that go well beyond turning a profit. In her review about EaseFemin™ she wrote and I quote:

“I also think that EaseFemin stands behind their mission statement of “To unleash the power of our exotic, pure, and potent extracts, and to improve health and quality of life for our customers.” It has truly improved my health and quality of life! Thanks EaseFemin for a wonderful product! “

A client told us not very long after our first product became available:

The Gift of the Bees for You and Me

Today I watched The Bee Movie with my kids and what a great family movie!  Humanizing bees as they perform their jobs in the hive and at the outside (our) world was a great idea. The moral of the movie, in my perspective, is no society fully accomplishes its purposes when motives are centered exclusively on the society itself. What a great lesson for us humans, especially in these days when so much is said about sustainability and being green and yet we are so self focused.

I am so excited that we have created NaturaNectar™ inspired by the one of the beehive’s precious produce, the Bee Propolis and by the intriguing way bees organize themselves in the hives to generate the elements necessary for their own existence and survival and, as a consequence, provide us, their human neighbors, with the gift of nutrition, immunity and great health.

During their life cycle that can vary from  4 to 6 weeks to 4 to 6 months depending on the work they perform, bees have a very busy and complex life. That’s probably why there is so much buzz about the bees! In the hive, under the leadership of the queen bee, all other bees have to perform different activities so that the elaborate and mostly sterile inner-hive can function and complete its life-cycle. Bees will work on different tasks involving, for instance, water, pollen, honey, royal jelly, honeycomb construction using wax, and propolis.

Our desire and ultimate aim is for our company to be just like that.  We will work diligently to generate the necessary resources for our own existence and just like the bees, we will strive to provide our clients with the gift of high quality supplements to improve their health.   To our neighbors in greater need and the environment necessary to sustain life, our goal is to be a beacon, by giving back and inspiring others to do so. Just as the bees have for tens and maybe hundreds of millions of years given so much to us, we believe it is now our time to follow the example of the bees and make a difference on our neighborhood.

As our business develops, we are having the pleasure to work with great people who can understand our culture and help us craft our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.
